Camden County College Library collects materials relevant to the classes and programs offered at the College. The College Library also serves the professional needs of the faculty, staff, and the college community with relevant materials to support the curriculum and research needs of students.
Below are factors when making purchasing decisions:
When selecting media, the College Library currently purchases both DVDs and streaming video.
The library withdrew its microfilm in spring 2016 and does not purchase or accept donations of microfilm.
The College Library does not purchase books that have been self-published or published by vanity presses, or ephemera such as pamphlets or catalogs.

Materials Review
In order to maintain a high quality, relevant collection, the Librarian - Collection Development reviews subject sections on an ongoing basis and guides deselection decisions using the following criteria:
Textbooks on reserve at the library are property of the academic departments, and are made available with their knowledge and permission. When a book is no longer needed for reserve, it is returned to the department. If an edition is out of date by two or more years and the course has adopted the newest edition, the library reserves the right to dispose of the resource if the department does not ask for it to be returned.
