Tech Checkout and Electronic Devices Policy

Borrowers are required to abide by CCC technology policies: Student Responsibilities and Acceptable Use of Information Technologies (2005) and Guide to Acceptable Use of Technology For Faculty, Staff and Administrators (2010).

  • Camden County College Library lends electronic devices for in-library use only.
  • Electronic devices are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. We are unable to place holds on the equipment.
  • Check out period is for 3 hours and can be renewed if no one else is waiting to use the equipment.
  • At the end of the 3-hour period, return the device to a staff member at the 1st Floor Library Service Desk.
  • A fine of $4.00 per hour will be charged for late returns.
  • You will not be able to permanently save files on the devices and the College does not yet provide wireless printing. To save your work: consider attaching your work to an email message, saving your work to a thumb drive, or saving your work to a personal file space.
  • Please report hardware/software problems immediately as you may be held responsible for any unreported problems.
  • Borrowers are responsible for the full replacement value or repair costs if the borrowed device is damaged, lost or stolen.

Study Room Policy

  • Camden County College Library has a limited number of study rooms available for Group Study -- a minimum of 2 people. They are available on a first come, first served basis and cannot be reserved in advance.
  • You must have a valid Camden County College Library Card.
  • Room use is for 3 hours and cannot be renewed. If there is no one waiting to use the room, you may check the room out again after waiting a half-hour.
  • When you are finished using the study room or at the end of the 3-hour period, whichever comes first, return the Study Room key to a staff member at the 1st Floor Library Service Desk.
  • A fine of $4.00 per hour will be charged for late returns.
  • Rooms are not soundproof; be respectful of others who are studying by not using your cell phone and by using your inside voice.
  • No children permitted in the Study Rooms.
  • Food is not permitted in the Study Rooms – we don’t want bugs, rodents, or to smell the food after you have left.
  • Clean up before you leave the room – erase the white board, pick up your trash and dispose of the trash properly.
  • Turn the lights off when leaving and make sure the door is locked.
  • Please report any room problems immediately as you may be held responsible for any unreported problems.
