The web site for the book that inspired Zeitoun. Voices from the Storm was published by Voice of Witness, "a registered non-profit book series that empowers those most closely affected by contemporary social injustice."

National Geographic aired Witness: Katrina in August 2010, but the web site provides images and accounts from eyewitnesses of that day.
